ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø District operates as a Strategic Waiver ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø System (SWSS) under a contract between the State Board of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and the local school district. Through the SWSS contract, the school district receives flexibility in the form of waivers of certain state laws, rules, and guidelines in exchange for greater accountability for increased student performance. District and school-level student achievement goals are established and monitored on an annual basis at the school, local, and state levels. Houston County’s Strategic Plan is the primary tool used to guide action steps toward continuous improvement.
